Gopro Cineform Studio For Mac

May 30, 2013  Warning too, if your Mac lacks enough horsepower your videos may stutter during playback especially at the larger resolutions. Cineform should work fine if you import the files from your hard drive or external storage device. 1 Automatic import requires that you connect your GoPro camera to a computer via USB or insert your SD card using a card reader. 2 GoPro Plus is a subscription service available in select territories. GoPro CineForm Studio takes footage captured with the 3D HERO® System and converts it into viewable 3D files. You can then export the files and watch them on your computer, online at sites like. In Cineform Studio on my Mac (Mt Lion), I exported the file to a.mov file, which I thought would be compatible with iMovie. But it's not. IMovie, iPhoto, and iTunes don't recognize this file. I don't want to import the.mp4 files that the camera recorded because I want the modifications that I made in Cineform. GoPro Cineform Studio(now “GoPro Studio”): https. To edit simple videos, GoPro Studio or a combination of GoPro Studio and free software like iMovie etc will suffice. If you plan on diving deeper into video production, Final Cut Pro or Adobe After Effects may be necessary. For Mac, iMovie is a great option. For Windows users.

Oh, solved it. I found this link, which said:

You need the CineForm codec, available for free at:

Apparently, the Cineform app only supported these codecs: CFHD, Linear PCM, and Timecode. So this Cineform codec (formerly called Neo Player) fixes the problem by including a QuickTime and a Windows decoder.

This codec enabled me to see the video in iPhoto as an event. Then iMovie could see all the events in iPhoto, so I was able to shorten the clip and add titles. Actually, I have to say I was pretty pleased how it all came out.

GoPro Studio gives you plenty of useful editing tools in a really gorgeous package. It can go shot for shot with Final Cut Pro, Windows Movie Maker, and all of the other big names in the video editing world. The best part is that it's relatively easy to get started, so you can go right into your editing without needing a class on digital media.

GoPro Studio is a hefty download at 112MB. It requires QuickTime, as well, which makes it even tougher to get started if you have a slower Internet connection. To make up for the long setup process, Go Pro Studio gives you a video editor that's dripping with style. It features a gorgeous, intuitive layout that puts your video at center stage. It kicks you off with a tutorial in case you're new to video editing, but the program is streamlined enough that you might not need it. Though it's welcoming to beginners, the program doesn't slouch on features. It gives you plenty of control over how the video looks, with exposure, white balance, and a host of other image-editing tools. It includes some preset filters to give you a certain style with a press of the button, too. The program's timeline editing style isn't difficult to master, either. Though the program carries the name of the iconic camera, you won't need one to edit your videos.

You won't see a video-editing program that offers this much while still being incredibly easy to use very often. GoPro Studio stands tall against paid video editors in terms of features and good looks. It's no wonder that so many videos shot with GoPro cameras look so amazing!
