Amazon's Choice for 'recording studio software' PreSonus AudioBox 96 Studio USB 2.0 Recording Bundle with Interface, Headphones, Microphone and Studio One software. It sounds to me like you are just trying to utilize the sounds and effects from various VST's within FL studio. For this FL studio would work fine. In fact, FL studio probably IS the easiest program for that. You wont even have to use the live feature, just plug your MIDI interface up, start fl studio, open your project with the channels and your set. Have exactly the same problem. Shame there's no answer Original driver works but latency is no good. ASIO4All is meant to be good latency, can see the instruments playing through the VU display but no sound from speakers or headphones.
I'm at a stage where I have the perfect sound solution, but unfortunately it's not portable. (A decent tower station setup with a lot of firepower). So I need something I can carry on when I'm travelling. I'm torn between buying a Macbook Pro and boot windows thru bootcamp, or save half the cost and buy a really powerful Windows laptop, like the ASUS G-771jw. Why do these artists do it? Is there a reason behind this unusual route? The only reason I see this is because Macbooks outlive regular high end laptops (purely due to it's build quality). But if you're afrojack, you don't really care about the life of a macbook, since you can afford three new ones every gig.
I'd love to hear what everyone has to say, since I have NO plans on changing my DAW and I would need to make my purchase pretty soon. What would you recommend?

How to install Windows 10 on Mac
To install Windows, use Boot Camp Assistant. It's in the Utilities folder of your Applications folder.
1. Use Boot Camp Assistant to create a Windows partition
Open Boot Camp Assistant and follow the onscreen instructions:
- If you're asked to insert a USB drive, plug your USB flash drive into your Mac. Boot Camp Assistant will use it to create a bootable USB drive for Windows installation.
- When Boot Camp Assistant asks you to set the size of the Windows partition, remember the minimum storage-space requirements in the previous section. Set a partition size that meets your needs, because you can't change its size later.
2. Format the Windows (BOOTCAMP) partition
When Boot Camp Assistant finishes, your Mac restarts to the Windows installer. If the installer asks where to install Windows, select the BOOTCAMP partition and click Format. In most cases, the installer selects and formats the BOOTCAMP partition automatically.
3. Install Windows
Unplug any external devices, such as additional displays and drives, that aren't necessary during installation. Then click Next and follow the onscreen instructions to begin installing Windows.
4. Use the Boot Camp installer in Windows
After Windows installation completes, your Mac starts up in Windows and opens a ”Welcome to the Boot Camp installer” window. Follow the onscreen instructions to install Boot Camp, including Windows support software (drivers). You will be asked to restart when done.
