The software formerly known as Fruity Loops has entered Alpha testing for Mac.
After recently releasing the latest update of their popular Fruity Loops series, FL Studio 12, Image Line are back with a new version of FL Studio designed specifically for Mac.
Big news for FL Studio fans as developers Image-Line confirm that the DAW will be released as a native Mac application. Image-Line, developers of the hugely popular DAW FL Studio, formerly known as Fruity Loops, have confirmed that the software will be released as a native application for Mac OS X.
- We’ve just reviewed FL Studio 20 and believe that it’s so good that there will be a great many more users interested in adopting it. Not only that, but FL 20 represented the DAWs first introduction to the Mac platform so there will be a lot of Mac owners considering the jump too.
- FL Studio 12 Coming to Mac OS X Image-line, the developers of the widely known FL Studios, has confirmed that the software will be released as a native DAW for Mac OS X. Because of the lack of support given during the CrossOver Beta released last year, the current solution for Mac users is insufficient.

The new software is not a mirror of a Windows programme so this is the first time it will be officially available for Mac users. Although the software is apparently still in its very basic stages you can register to take part in Alpha testing here.
